Wi-Fi Watch

by Sherry on January 9th, 2008

So I do realize that while it could be beneficial to many people, not everyone is as dorky as I am and would therefore not wear a t-shirt that can detect Wi-Fi in the surrounding area, even if it is very cool.

However, it’s definitely true that with people needing to stay in contact (whether for personal or work-related reasons) while they’re traveling, and knowing you’re in an area with good, strong Wi-Fi is important for that.

If you’d rather not make a spectacle of yourself with a flashing t-shirt, perhaps you would prefer this more discreet gadget, a Wi-Fi detecting watch.

The watch itself doesn’t look like anything out of the ordinary, showing the time like any regular watch does, and it features an alarm, countdown timer, calendar, and even a world time zone mode. However, it also has a Wi-Fi button. When you press it, it will give you a number between 0 and 8 - the higher the number displayed, the stronger the Wi-Fi signal in your area. You won’t have to bother wasting your time trying to email your boss if you get a 0 or 1 and you can wait until you’re in a better location.

Handy and functional in so many ways! For only $29.99, you really can’t go wrong.
