Weatherproof notepad
In this day of computers and electronics it’s hard to think of paper as a gadget, but here’s a little secret - as much as I live and die by my laptop and high speed wireless connection, I still love paper. While many people use applications to keep track of their work duties, I’m still doing the “old skool” list on a piece of paper in a notepad, checking each one off with a pen when it’s complete.
If you’re going traveling and you like to record your thoughts on paper (or if you’re traveling in such a way that you’d prefer to not bring your laptop, such as camping, wilderness adventure vacations, backpacking through Europe, etc.) you might find a need for this Sportsman’s Outdoor Log. The paper is specially coated so as to be weatherproof. A Blackberry in the rain? Fizzle! But a weather-proof notepad will take a beating (and won’t cost hundreds to thousands to replace if it gets lost).
At only $6.95, you can stock up and write down all your travel impressions - so you can bring the notepad home to type everything up on your blog!

I’ve used these Write in the Rain products (they are located not too far from where I live, and I have friend who work for them), and they are great. I remember being skeptical, but they really work!
