Trouble parking?

by Sherry on February 19th, 2008

Do you know what I hate about being in a car? Not the driving - I love a road trip. It’s the parking. Or rather, the driving around and around and. around. The desperate search for a parking spot or a parking garage that doesn’t cost more than a mortgage payment.

If you’re going to be in a major city in Canada or the U.S., you can go to Parking Hunter and check among over 2500 parking garages, residential parking spots, and lots. You can seek monthly parking rates if you’re going to be in town on business for awhile or just find the best spots for the time you will be around. If nothing else, at least you can get an idea of where you might be able to stick your car without having to drive all over a strange city trying to find a reasonable rate.

I found 32 spots listed in the downtown (ish) area of my own city of Montreal. That’s not a bad start!

(Thanks, Tris!)
