Trip It!
I’m the sort of person who likes to be organized, I love the theory of it. What I don’t like is the ACTUAL organizing, perhaps because I’m missing that gene or something. Being disorganized on your travels can be frustrating, dangerous, and can lead to being bored and having to deal with chaos rather than just relaxing.
The travel organizing site TripIt will take care of the details for you with very little effort on your part. All you have to do is sign up and email TripIt your confirmed travel plans. From that, TripIt will build a fully organized itinerary that will include all your plans in a logical layout. After that, it searches the internet and adds related information such as weather forecasts, local maps, directions, guides, and so on.
You can print up your entire master itinerary and carry that with you and you can also log in to check it online. It can be shared so that you can make it viewable to all the people in your travel party to make sure everyone has the info they want and need.
Basically it seems an awful lot like having a personal travel agent right there with you at home and while you’re out and about. I can’t wait for an excuse to fully try it out! (Which means I need a vacation!)
