The Lonely Planet Book of Experimental Travel

by admin on June 10th, 2005

Monique from So Misguided writes to suggest our first book: The Lonely Planet Guide To Experimental Travel.

It’s a fun way to discover your own city, but also to discover new cities. Like, if you’re travelling with your wife to a new city, go on a scavenger hunt for each other. Leave your hotel at separate times and try to find each other in the new city. Where would your mate go? Have a fall back plan too, like meet you at the Tower at 2 pm if we haven’t found each other. You know this one could go horribly wrong.

It’s less a book about making pipettes explode in Belgium than it is a book about new and exciting ways to travel. Your geeky mileage may vary.

UPDATE: Via Gridskipper, here’s an interview with one of the authors.
