Sun Times will plot climate and more
If you’re really into weather or you just happen to be neurotic about storms hitting while you’re on vacation, you might want to check out Sun Times, a free bit of software that will give you all the details on a location’s sunrise and sunset, what the average climates are, global fight schedules/routes, and more.
I can see how it would come in handy for a lot of things - you can make sure you’re not booking your trip right smack dab in the middle of the worst time of year, you can schedule a romantic horseback ride on the beach timed with the sunset over the ocean, and you can easily find out which commercial flights pass through so you can be fully informed before getting on the line with your travel agent.
It’s one of those things that really gives you more information than you really truly need, and yet it’s kind of fun to know anyway at least if you’re a huge dork like me!
