Stay fit on the road

by Sherry on March 7th, 2008

While surfing around today, I found something about a great way to stay in shape while you’re traveling. Fitness may not always be a problem - if you’re on vacation in a nice sun destination, there’s a lot of opportunity for working out, from water aerobics to just playing a good game of beach volleyball. Even if you’re on business travel, many large hotels have a gym.

If, however, you’re not comfortable using a gym other than your own at home, you can still keep in shape with the Ropeless Jump Rope. Exactly as it sounds, it’s a set of handles minus the ropes. The handles use batteries and create a snapping sensation as though you’re jumping over a regular jump rope and snapping it behind you. It comes with an LCD where you can enter in your height and weight; as you work out the display will let you know how many calories you’ve burned.

This would be so easy to stick inside a suitcase or carry-on bag and would be simple to use in a basic hotel room since there’s no rope to get tangled in lamps and chairs.

It can be purchased from the site (which includes an embedded video that you can watch) for $49.95 and it comes with weights to add to the handles for increased resistance, workout DVDs, and a little travel bag.

Do you work out when you travel?
