South Korea offers computer fix to commuters

by Sherry on October 15th, 2007

This is ridiculously cool for people like myself who start to twitch when unable to check their email. In technology-friendly South Korea, the entire metro transit system in Seoul offers free computer stations for commuters to use while waiting around in the stations. Each “Digital Station” offers a PC (sorry, Mac users!), a card reader in case you really want to upload some cool photos you took on your way, and a charger for your cell phone.

The computers are totally free for anyone to use. I would say we need some here in Montreal, but just looking at our graffiti and litter-strewn metros, I guess that they would last for all of five minutes before they’d be ruined. As my source, Chip Chick said, the most amazing thing about them is the fact that they aren’t vandalized!
