Slice the Pie for Real in Seattle

by admin on September 7th, 2005

Last week, Gridskipper mentioned an alternative to all them first-person shooters. It’s the real thing at Hostage Rescue Team Seattle. Take their 3-day course and satisfy your real-world killing needs:

When you arrive in Seattle, you’ll be met at the airport and transported to your hotel. There, you’ll be issued your uniform (1 set of Digital camo BDUs with personal name tapes and patches, two black UnderArmour moisture wicking T-shirts, one Digital camo boonie hat) which you will keep after the operation concludes. You will also be given your own training manual and course outline. Sleep well, because the non-stop training and operations will begin at 0730.

0730! That’s a bit early, bonnie hat notwithstanding.

For the non SWAT-savvy, the title of this post refers to an entry procedure called ’slicing the pie’. Will Pate, Halo expert, explained it to me the other day. You can read about it on this page.
