Road trips are great fun - the open road, a sense of adventure, the allure of spontaneity, all of it. I love road trips, especially if not everything is set in stone.
What I do NOT want to have as a surprise is to have my car battery die on me and end up stuck who knows where, while I sit around and hope someone with jumper cables in their trunk will pull over and give me a hand.

These sorts of things come in many different forms, but I agree, they’re ALWAYS handy to have around when your car dies. Of course, our car is rather small so we don’t carry one- instead we just use our tripple A cards if we get stranded. Cool though that this one recharges itself!
