Pocket POD

by Sherry on November 1st, 2007

Here at Geeky Traveller, I like to cater to all kinds of traveling folks. Since my husband is a musician, I thought it would be nice to kick off November with something that is beneficial to a traveling musician, even if you only play for fun. Line 6 has a nifty device called the Pocket POD which is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, so it’s definitely portable. Yet, despite its wee size, it comes with 300 preset sounds from well known artists including Maroon 5 and 311. You can hook it up as a practice amp and can use it with headphones. If you’re staying in a hotel somewhere, I guarantee they will love you more if you jam along via headphones rather than through a full-sized amp.

If you’re not only into covers and like to write your own music, you can also use the software that comes with it to create your own musical brilliance.

You can pick one up for about $180 and have your own music anywhere you go.
