Nikon Wi-Fi
It has limitations (as in, a lot of them), but you still have to admit that this is really cool - the new Nikon Coolpix S51c comes with built in Wi-Fi.
No, seriously!
Granted, at this time, it only allows you to use Nikon’s own My Picturetown, a photo sharing application, so it’s not like you can have one eye on the viewfinder and one eye on the stock market scrolling across your LCD. However, it does mean that while you’re on vacation, taking picture of yourself in front of the Eiffel Tower or lying on the beach in Cancun, you can then immediately use the Wi-Fi to send those pictures back home to your jealous friends.
That’s pretty cool in my geeky notebook.
It costs about $400 and you can get it for $50 less if you skip the Wi-Fi feature. But really, for only $50 why WOULD you skip it?

1 opinion for Nikon Wi-Fi

A friend has a similar Nikon CoolPix and while the Wi-Fi feature may be cool, I caution anyone before buying a camera without a viewfinder. In bright sunlight it’s almost impossible to take a decent photo. You just can’t see what you are aiming at.
