A quick introduction before I get started

Hello geeky travel fans! I just wanted to say hello before I start posting appropriate topics here. I’m Sherry, and hopefully I will be able to help you find interesting travel gadgets, geeky products/services to make travel easier, and ways to keep in touch with your inner nerd while you’re out and about.

I studied Travel and Tourism once upon a lifetime and I have a deep love of gadgets (in other words, ThinkGeek is one of my favorite shopping sites). Perhaps a little ironically, I don’t travel as much as I would like to due to a lack of funds and two young children, and I also don’t own as many gadgets as I would like either. That’s okay though - you know how some people enjoy a little bit of window shopping at their favorite boutiques? Writing for this blog will be like my own version of window shopping.

If you’re heading out somewhere and you would like some advice on tech gear or local internet access while you plan to be there, just let me know and I’ll do my best to dig up some info for you. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy your stay here at geekytraveller.com!
