Bloggy Giveaway: Epson Artisan 800 Printer

Now that just about everyone owns a digital camera, taking pictures of your travels is really easy. There’s no film to buy or develop, and depending on the size of your camera’s memory card, you might be all but unlimited in how many times you can take a shot of the Grand Canyon or the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

But what do you do when you get home? Do you want to keep them on your computer’s hard drive? Or do you want to have beautiful prints to put in an album to show friends and family?

Epson Artisan 800

With the Epson Artisan 800, you can create beautiful, physical memories of your favorite parts of all your vacations. Epson’s own description says:

It has a 7.8” smart touch panel and 3.5” LCD that lights up only the buttons necessary to the user, making it effortless to select, copy, enlarge, rotate, crop, and print photos without a computer. It also uses Epson’s Ultra Hi-Definition Claria ink for vivid, true-to-life photos that are smudge, scratch and water resistant.

As a nice bonus, the wireless feature allows you to print pictures without a computer, you can play with different layouts, and you can even turn your pictures into coloring book pages – if you take your kids to Disney World, imagine how thrilled they’ll be to color in a picture of themselves meeting Mickey Mouse or Cinderella!

Here’s the best part of all – Epson has offered up one Artisan 800 to one lucky reader here at Geeky Traveller. To win, all you have to do is leave a comment below and tell me the one place you would love to visit that you haven’t had the chance to see yet. That’s it! Please note you may only enter once and I do check to make sure! The contest runs from right now until Friday at 5 p.m. Eastern time.

Good luck!

The first comment never wins, but it’s worth a shot. I’d love to visit Ireland. I have some relatives there and I would love to go see them!

I could really use a printer, since I don’t have one. My sister is pregnant with her first child and I know that I would love to print photos when she does have it!

I would love to visit Fiji. I’ve wanted to go there for nearly the past 10 years. The beaches there are beautiful, and I was told that being there is like being on your very own island. It’s breathtaking in photos, I can only imagine what it might look like up close and personal. I hope to find out someday! Until then, a picture speaks a thouand words, right? :)

Thank you for this AMAZING giveaway!

The photo ops there are supposed to ma incredible, and it would be great to be where hardly anyone has been before. There is a great mix of wildlife (penguins, seals, whales, etc) and history, especially old whaling stations. Someday soon hopefully!

I would love to visit Alaska. More precisely I would love to visit Homer, Alaska :) My grandparents (who also raised me) were missionaries there when my mom, aunt, & 2 uncles were small. They were the “mom/dad” of a children’s home and I have heard so many stories about where they lived, the wildlife, the weather, EVERYTHING and I would love to get to visit and see some of what they saw….They have both passed away but I would love to retell some of the stories to my kids “on location” :D

    October 28th, 2008 | 6:01 am

I can never quite choose which one. So I’ll mention two. Though this should only count as one entry into the contest :)

The cold climate choice is Iceland. Not for the coldness or the northerness, but the vulcanic activity, geysers, lava streams, smoking hot tubs, and the beauty of nature in general.

As for hot climate choices, I’d defenately want to see the pyramids in Egypt. And then again maybe not, as they’ll only show you what they want to show you. If it was up to me I’d learn how to decipher hyroglyphs and then spend days, months, years, trying to decipher all the writings on the walls, look for hidden treasure, revive mummies… Or maybe I’d better not do that. But yeah, I find all those Indiana Jones / The mummy movies quite fascinating, and when I think of Egypt and it’s pyramids, I really want to go and try to find something nobody else has seen yet.

Aside from, you know, every other place in the world that I haven’t been, I was turned on to Bhutan and I think that’s my top choice. The fact that it’s still mostly isolated from Western culture really intrigues me. It’s so rare these days.

I’ve been fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to visit many interesting and beautiful places around the world — though hardly everything I would like to see.

The Fiji Islands. I’ve just read about them so far, but I dream of one day actually going there. Although, with the current economy, perhaps it will remain just a dream. Still, it’s a good dream :)

  237. October 30th, 2008 | 2:41 pm

I’ve spent all of my life in the USA. I’ve never had an opportunity to travel outside the US and every time I begin to consider going out of the US I digress and decide to stay within the 48 state boundry. Hawaii and Alaska would be fun but that would also mean that I have to fly or boat over large bodies of water and I prefer not to do that. Within the 48 states the one place I really do want to visit is Jackson Hole, Wyoming. I don’t know why … it just sounds like fun.
