Best travel alarm clock for crossing the time zones
The biggest problem with crossing time zones isn’t necessarily keeping track of time – it’s fighting exhaustion. If you’re in another country and have to get up at 7 am for a business meeting your first day in – but it’s only 3 am on your internal clock – a regular wake-up call isn’t necessarily going to help.
Snooze buttons are too easy to push. I do it all the time. An actual phone call from the front desk? Could be helpful, but personally, more than once I woke up to find a note with a message I had taken from someone on a phone call that I didn’t even remember answering because I was so tired, and immediately went back to sleep.
The Sonic Alert SB200 Sonic Boom Loud Vibrating Alarm Clock is the best travel alarm clock you can use if you’re traveling on business and need to be sure that you’re up and at ‘em in time – the RIGHT time for the time zone!
The clock not only goes off like a normal alarm clock – it also has a bed shaker that uses 12 volts to vibrate your bed. It does have a snooze function but I’m not sure how easily you can keep falling asleep when something keeps shaking the heck out of your bed!
You can pick one up for $32.95.

I have one of these! I am deaf, and can’t hear regular alarm clocks, so this one has been a godsend. My room mate in college was alarm clock resistant so she bought one of these, and it worked like a charm for her too.
