I usually stay at a good but not extremely expensive hotel/motel. I am used to it and I'm not generally squeamish about it. But traveling to cities you've not visited before means staying at places you have not seen before. I have ended up in a hotel/motel that I might not have booked if I had known it's general location when I made the reservation. I would use something like this on every trip. Thanks for posting this one, I'm off to purchase.

I am female and I travel alone quite frequently.
