Use Yapta to get a good deal on airfare

Get great airfare with Yapta

Yapta is a great little website that can act as a travel assistant for you if you’re planning on taking a trip somewhere. You simply visit the site and sign up for free (I love free). Then enter in your desired trip, specifying your departure and arrival cities, the dates you wish to travel, and other details like how many travelers are going and what class you’d like to fly. You can even list up to three airlines you would prefer to fly with if you’d like.

It will scan 23 different airlines to determine the best prices. For instance, I entered in my dream destination, Prague, and found that currently Lufthansa offers the best deal for me at $1580 if I’d like to leave on July 7th and return a week later. (Apparently I’d better start saving my change!)

From there you can track the flight you want, and it will alert you by email if another airline offers a better deal between now and your trip date. If you’ve already booked your flight, Yapta will even help you get a refund if the airline offers a lowest price guarantee.

Next summer I have to go from Montreal to Halifax for my sister’s wedding. The train has become outrageous in terms of price, and the trip is 23 hours! Not appealing with two kids who will be 7 and almost 4 by then. Driving is also less than ideal with it being about a 14-hour drive, and unfortunately I don’t drive so that’s 14 hours for my husband behind the wheel. I think I’ll be making use of Yapta sometime next year to see what kind of deal I can get to go out East!

What rhymes with Yapta?…… “Absolutely Awesome!” Great prices. Thanks for bringing this to the publics’ attention. For the longest time, I was under the impression that “Kayak” was the best site one the web for affordable flights. I was very disheartened for a long period. Keep on keeping it coming!

    Thanks for the info,

This site sounds amazing, I can’t wait to check it out.

I have always gone straight to kayak as well.

    Thanks for this!
