Keep tabs on your luggage with Bluebird
This has to be the kind of thing that was invented by someone who had to stand around for an hour, waiting for their luggage to be the last to come down the conveyor belt after a long flight. Bluebird from Nate Lynch uses Bluetooth technology to keep tabs on your luggage. Essentially, it “calls” your cellphone with updates.
You clip one piece of the Bluebird system to your luggage. The, when it gets into a certain range, it will start sending a signal to your phone so you can go sit down while you wait. Once your phone is alerted, you can wander over to the luggage collection and you’ll find it easily since the attached piece on your bag will cast a blue glow.
It sounds like the kind of thing we might have seen in a futuristic movie not so long ago, doesn’t it?
Alas, no prices yet so I assume it’s still not available.

Wonder if they’ll make this in “Pill Form”, to give to my 7year old son, so that I can tan on the beach all day and let him roam at random ? Hmmmmm.
@ Scott- HEHEHEHE I’m sure they will eventually.
While this seems like a lot of hassle and expense to follow your luggage, it’d be helpful to know when to find your way to the luggage claim and when you can kill a couple of min. at the duty free shops in your arrival airport before you leave the terminal.
