43 Places – A fun way to find travel answers

Have you ever been to 43 Places? It’s an offshoot of 43 Things, a website used to keep track of things you long to do in your life. The difference is that 43 Places is all travel-related and you can get real-person reviews of just about any location you can think of.

What’s especially fun though, is that some people set their accounts so that you can ask them questions. Let’s say you’ve traveled in Spain. If you’ve set yourself up to be asked questions, anyone coming to the site can then ask for ideas on good hotels, must-see attractions, off the beaten track ideas, and so on. Then their questions will be forwarded to you. Whether you choose to answer or not is completely at your discretion and the other person never sees your private email address, but if you can answer them, you might help someone with their travel confusion.

And of course that means that if you’re dying to know of the perfect restaurant in Tuscany, you can head over and ask, and get a variety of answers from people who have been there.

It’s certainly not a pro site, but it’s a nice and relaxed, almost chatty sort of way to find good ideas before you travel.

I rather disappointed in this site. Doesn’t seem to provide much information (detail information that is). But I agree that it’s more of a fun way to connect to other people. However, doesn’t seem to be very active.
