GPS Keychain

GPS Keychain

More and more phones or PDAs are coming equipped with GPS nowadays, but yours might not. As long as it’s Bluetooth compatible though, you can use this tiny GPS Receiver keychain from ThinkGeek. The tiny keychain will pull in the information you need and transmit the data to your phone or PDA. Please note, you’ll need some sort of GPS software, so check out your brand’s website for available software that you can download and install.
At $99 it’s probably cheaper than a new GPS phone/PDA.

Travel toiletry sheets

Travel toiletry sheets

You know what sucks? Having your shampoo bottle leak all over your luggage. It nearly happened to me, but luckily I had packed all my little toiletry items into a ziploc bag before tossing it in my suitcase. At least my clothes and books didn’t get covered in shampoo, but I did still have to take all my toiletry stuff out and clean it all off.
What would have been better? The Travelon series of toiletry sheets. For only $4.95 you get a pack of fifty sheets. There are shampoo, conditioner, shaving cream, …read more

Pet Care Via Remote

Pet Care Via Remote

It’s not always easy to just pack up and jet off somewhere, even for just a few days. If you have pets, you have to think about arrangements. You might choose to send your beloved ball of fur to a kennel while you’re gone, but some people prefer to get a friend or family member to drop in on their pets every day (several times per day if it’s a dog). While you can usually feel secure, you can also get this remote access pet feeding and viewing system to check in from somewhere else.

Weatherproof notepad

Weatherproof notepad

In this day of computers and electronics it’s hard to think of paper as a gadget, but here’s a little secret – as much as I live and die by my laptop and high speed wireless connection, I still love paper. While many people use applications to keep track of their work duties, I’m still doing the “old skool” list on a piece of paper in a notepad, checking each one off with a pen when it’s complete.
If you’re going traveling and you like to record your thoughts on paper (or if you’re traveling in such …read more

Tiny Hydraulically Compressed Tissues

Tiny Hydraulically Compressed Tissues

These could be handy for so many reasons. The miniTISSUEs are packaged in tiny wrappers, and are hydraulically compressed. Open them up and add a little water, though, and they expand to much larger tissues. They’re free of anti-bacterial ingredients, so if you’re like me and think the world has gone a little too bacteria-crazy, you’ll love these.
They’re perfect for sticking in your car for road trips (especially if you have sticky-fingered kids eating snacks in the back seat!), take them camping, or stick them in your purse or carry-on bag no matter where they’re going. …read more

The World Clock helps you figure out when to call home

The World Clock helps you figure out when to call home

When you’re traveling, it can be nice to call home and talk to your family. But it’s really embarrassing when you mess up the time difference and you call your spouse at 4 a.m. or you call home to chat with your mom and it’s 2:30 am. Oops!
This WorldWatch Clock can help you avoid telephone faux pas. The clock has 12 sides to it with the names of two major cities, representing the 24 times zones. Simply turn the clock to the time zone you need and check the clock to see what time it is …read more

Don’t go over your limit

Don’t go over your limit

Here’s a simple way to avoid getting charged for going over the allowed weight for luggage. This little travel gauge scale is handheld and can weigh up to 75 lbs. When you’re done packing for your vacation or business trip, you can just quickly use the scale to make sure you’re within regulations.

Obviously you could try your bathroom scale but this would probably be much more accurate since a suitcase is bigger than the surface of a bathroom scale, and wobbling could throw the reading off.
The gauge also features a 39″ measuring tape so …read more
