Wind up lanterns
I feel weird about discussing camping when I have snow piled up against the sliding doors beside me, but camping is one of my favorite getaways, so I can’t help myself. Besides, perhaps you are lucky enough to be reading from a place that has a nicer climate than here and you can indeed go camping.
These little Cyba-Lite Lanterns require nothing more than a little muscle power to light your way. The lanterns have LED lights and you will get ten minutes of light for every minute you put into winding it up. If you need light for an hour, wind for six minutes and you’re good to go!
You can also charge it up via solar panel or a lighter socket in your car, but the manual labor comes in very handy if you happen to be in the middle of a pitch black campground, far away from your car.
