TripAdvisor has launched a new version of their already great site, so if you haven’t been there in awhile, be sure to check it out.

If, on the other hand, you’ve never been there before, it’s a site that I personally love using. By using TripAdvisor you can choose where your travel location is and then see a variety of lodgings, restaurants, attractions, and more. The entire site is updated by real people who have traveled so you get honest reviews rather than just reading a generalized write-up in a travel guide. People have uploaded photos, videos, and extensive reviews of anything and everything. You can check them out to get a good feel for your location and you’ll know if a hotel is staffed with friendly people, has cleanliness issues, or ends room service at midnight.

You can also read up on all sorts of tips from those same real travelers – that way you’ll be sure to avoid missing some exciting attraction or event that you may not have known about otherwise. And of course, as is the case with most sites like this one, you can view full maps so you’ll be sure to know where you’re going once you get there.

I love TripAdvisor. I enjoy it even when I don’t have travel plans just because I like to look at the travel photos and see places that I haven’t been to yet. My biggest dream is to go to Prague some day so every once in awhile I like to pop over to TripAdvisor and check out photos people have taken over there. Hopefully one day I’ll be able to post my own photos!
