I want a transporter gadget
Christmas may be over according to the calendar but it’s not done for my family. Today we are going to visit my parents since we didn’t see them yesterday. While they don’t live far away, they do live about a half hour drive away. It’s not a big deal but it will be when we leave to come home tonight because my two-year-old is likely to fall asleep since she’s a big fan of bedtime. She’ll be tired and once we get into a dark car and start driving she’ll pass out.
Awhile ago I wrote this fun little entry about all the travel gadgets that have not been invented yet but should have been, and I mentioned a transporter. I need one of those today so that as soon as my kids reach that “critical tired, get them to bed pronto” stage we could just beam ourselves back home.
In lieu of that, could someone perhaps invent a little gadget that attaches to a car seat and pokes a child in the arm every 30 seconds to keep them awake so that they won’t fall asleep on the way home and end up staying up until midnight as a result.
Proper posting should be back on track by tomorrow once the last of my holiday festivities are done.
