Goofy but fun beach radio
Winter is approaching the Northern hemisphere far more quickly than I’d like to admit. This is the season for planning a nice tropical beach vacation – trust me, I’d give just about anything to be packing up for a week in Cancun or Cuba right now.
If you’re headed to the beach, I’ve found what is admittedly a very silly product, but also fun and handy – it’s a beach radio designed to look like a lounge beach chair, which doubles as a headrest. You can pick one up for about 40 dollars.
Just play along for a second. Imagine, say, mid-February, when it’s below freezing and you’re buried in several feet of snow. Now imagine that you’re in the Carribean, lying on the beach with a good book, toes being lapped by the waves of the ocean, head gently propped up with pleasant music surrounding you, while a cabana boy brings you a drink with a paper umbrella in it.
There. Not THAT silly, is it?
