Stay connected with the Palm Centro

The new Palm Centro is a fairly handy little gadget. Much smaller than the Palm Treos and Blackberry devices, the Centro is super portable and fits snugly in your hand. Being very lightweight is a nice bonus too.
It comes with a full QWERTY keyboard and it’s pretty small so you won’t want to compose your novel on the Centro, but if you need to fire off an email to your boss about the conference you’re attending or if you want to quickly IM with your spouse back at home while you’re waiting for a taxi, it’s perfect.
The speaker is supposedly very clear for phone or audio use and it comes with a music power button right on the side, it’s equipped with a camera that takes both still photos and video, and the 2″ screen is actually a touchscreen. It features access to Google maps with traffic and satellite view. Although there’s no GPS, at least you can use the touchscreen and maps to find your own way.
When it goes on sale sometime this month (if all goes as planned for launch), you’ll be able to get it for a very reasonable $100 with a two year phone plan contract with Sprint. You can choose one in black or red.
