Wish you were here – digital postcards
Now here’s a nifty way to tell someone you wish they were with you on your vacation – digital postcards!
It’s a packaged CD-ROM with 250 photographs of a specific city. It’s ready to be mailed after you write in a postcard-sized note and address on the back. It’s not quite as personal as taking the photos yourself, but it would probably be appreciated by someone back home who is really interested in the city you’re visiting.
At the moment, you can get digital picture postcards for New York City (gosh, I’d love that one!), San Francisco, Las Vegas, New Orleans, Washington DC, Niagara Falls, and Oahu in Hawaii. You can buy them for $9.99. Considering our tech culture’s lust over gadgets and geeky trinkets, I bet they’ll expand to other cities soon!
