Flying the friendly (and tech-y) skies

New domestic airline, Virgin America, is setting their sights on offering tech-friendly skies for their customers, and if it’s all as good as it sounds, they may be getting an awful lot of loyal travelers on their flights. They’re aware of the fact that many people want to use tech gear while stuck in the air, but that your average airline isn’t necessarily well-equipped to please everyone.
Virgin America, however, offers regular outlets at each seat, none of which require any funky adapters – just a straight up plain outlet like you have in your wall at home. Each seat also has a USB jack which can help power your necessities, like mp3 players and the like. They offer up internet access via ethernet instead of Wi-Fi, which gives you more reliability, and each seat comes with a 9-inch touch screen with satellite TV, more than 25 pay movies, thousands of mp3s, streaming radio, and keyboards to chat.
It’s like the perfect flight for people like me, who would love to use all their laptops and gear while hurtling over the countryside.
